Fresh from dazzling crowds across three US states, Philippine pop powerhouse BINI crosses the Pacific to make its first-ever appearance at Japan’s legendary Summer Sonic.
The eight-member act – Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena – will take the Mountain Stage at one of Asia’s largest music gatherings, marking a major milestone in the group’s rapid rise.
BINI will deliver its set at the Expo Commemoration Park in Osaka on Friday, August 14, before moving to Tokyo (ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe) on Sunday, August 16.
The Tokyo performance is expected to reach audiences nationwide through an exclusive domestic stream, bringing the nation’s girl group directly into Japanese living rooms.
Award recognition fuels upward momentum
BINI’s Japanese journey comes at a moment of growing recognition for the group, reflected in four prestigious nods at the upcoming Awit Awards.
Their work has earned recognition across multiple categories, including group performance, pop and R&B recordings, and an international collaboration with acclaimed Indonesian artist Agnez Mo.
Just last month, the group set a precedent as the premier Filipino act to take the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.
This feat later gained official state recognition, with the Senate unanimously adopting a resolution of commendation, followed by a matching resolution from the House of Representatives.
Summer Sonic turns 25
Summer Sonic 2026 marks the historic 25th anniversary of Japan’s premier simultaneous music festival.
Conceived as a landmark production unfolding simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka in 2000, the festival has grown even grander.
Extending to a full three days this year, it anticipates a record-breaking 330,000 attendees as melody bridges nations.
Japan stop leads to North American tour
For BINI, Japan is but a fleeting chapter as their globe-spanning journey continues immediately after the festival, with seven cities across North America lined up through late August.
Their scheduled stops include Vancouver on August 18, Calgary on August 21, Edmonton on August 22, Winnipeg on August 24, Toronto on August 27, and Brooklyn, New York on August 28.
The North American leg is part of the group’s Signals World Tour 2026, which officially kicked off with a major show in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 1. BINI also drew sold-out crowds in California and Nevada.
From award recognition to festival debuts and world tour dates, BINI is proving its star shines across every continent.

Tourism partnership unveiled
Meanwhile, BINI is expanding its reach outside the stage lights through a creative partnership with the Philippines’ tourism authority.
Together with SB19, the group will help showcase dream destinations through custom online pages, featuring exclusive travel offers and interactive experiences that invite fans to engage directly with the places that inspire their favorite artists.
