Their recognition highlights the growing influence of Asian artists in an industry long dominated by Western performers.
Rosé, a member of South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, and Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars earned nominations for their hit collaboration “APT.”
The song has surpassed two billion streams across YouTube and Spotify. It received nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Earlier, “APT.” won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
Katseye gains global spotlight with Grammy nods
Six-member girl group KATSEYE has also gained major attention on the global stage. The group earned nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela.”
The group also stands out because of its diverse cultural background.
Sophia Laforteza is from the Philippines. Daniela Avanzini is Venezuelan-Cuban American. Lara Raj is Indian Tamil.
Meanwhile, Megan Skiendiel has Chinese-Singaporean-American and Swedish-Chinese heritage. Manon Bannerman is Swiss-Italian-Ghanaian, while Yoonchae Jeung was born in South Korea.
Recently, KATSEYE generated fresh buzz with its GAP campaign. The members danced to Kelis’ “Milkshake” in the advertisement.
The performance quickly went viral on TikTok. Fans then shared their own versions of the dance.
As a result, KATSEYE continues to build its profile beyond music. The group’s Grammy nominations now add another major milestone to its fast-growing career.
Huntr/x hits Grammy gold with “Golden”
The fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x from the Netflix film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” has also earned major Grammy recognition.
Its hit song “Golden” received nominations for Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Since its release, “Golden” has performed strongly on both US and UK charts. The song recently reached No. 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.
The track has attracted fans with its upbeat sound and empowering message. Its themes include self-acceptance, identity and personal transformation.
Together, the nominations for Rosé, KATSEYE and “Golden” reflect the growing reach of Asian and K-pop music.
The 68th Grammy Awards are scheduled for February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles.
