The Arconia’s resident true crime aficionados are heading to London in Only Murders in the Building Season 6. Charles, Oliver and Mabel will investigate a new case in the British capital.
This marks the first time the hit Hulu comedy will take place overseas. The trio previously left New York for a short Los Angeles adventure in Season 4.
Fans have also speculated that the show could be renamed Only Murders in London. The promotional display at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event fueled those rumours. It featured a rotating London Eye Ferris wheel and a red telephone booth.
Only Murders in the Building began streaming in 2021. Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez lead the series as Charles Haden-Savage, Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora.
The trio lives in the Upper West Side and runs a true crime podcast. They investigate murders that take place around their apartment complex.

Why does Only Murders in the Building Season 6 move to London?
Season 5 ended with a major cliffhanger. Cinda Canning collapsed and died outside the Arconia gates. She held a bloody New York-London boarding pass.
Before her death, Cinda investigated a case known as “The Girl with the Curls”. The case involves a red-haired woman accused of murdering a royal descendant in England.
Cinda believed the woman was innocent. She also wanted to protect her from threats in Britain. She planned to bring her to America, where she believed the woman would be safer.
Still a New York show
John Hoffman co-created Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin. He said the move to London will give the series a fresh setting.
Hoffman also explained why the change made sense. After five seasons, the creators wanted to place the trio in new situations.
However, Hoffman stressed that Only Murders in the Building will remain a “New York show”. The production will film an entire season in London, but New York will remain central to the series.
A star-studded guest cast
Only Murders in the Building Season 6 will feature more than 20 guest stars.
Olivia Colman joins the cast as the latest addition. She has won an Oscar for her performance in The Favourite. She also played Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown.
The guest cast also includes Doctor Who stars Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant.
Bridgerton stars Nicola Coughlan and Simone Ashley will also appear.
Jim Broadbent, Jennifer Saunders, Martin Freeman, Sean Teale, Amar Chadha-Patel and Rhea Norwood are among the other guest stars.
Lesley Nicol, Jane Horrocks, Matthew Beard, Sharon Horgan, Geri Halliwell and Jamie Demetriou will also join the cast.
Anjana Vasan, Derek Jacobi, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis and Kathryn Hunter complete the impressive line-up.
Meryl Streep will return as Loretta Durkin. Michael Creighton will also return as Howard Morris, the podcasting trio’s cat-loving neighbour.
The showrunners have not announced a release date yet. Production continues in London.
Fans can expect a fresh mystery, a new setting and plenty of familiar faces when Only Murders in the Building Season 6 arrives.
